Welcome! I am a Christian, homeschooling mother of six children. I enjoy sharing ideas related to household management, organization and discipline. I hope that these pages will provide encouragement and practical help for other large families, homeschooling families, and parents who are simply overwhelmed and looking for a "easier way” to manage it all!
Several years ago, when I had three children who were all under school age, I was seeking the Lord's wisdom regarding the education of my oldest daughter. I was feeling a call to homeschool, but I had a great deal of anxiety because I was not certain that I could handle the responsibility. Household and parenting responsibilites kept me constantly busy and exhausted, and I could not imagine how I could possibly add "home education" to my already full days! After much prayer, and a promise to the Lord that I would obey whatever He asked of me, He made it very clear that He wanted me to homeschool. I couldn't turn back... I took a deep breath and dived in!
In the four short years since we began our homeschooling journey, the Lord has blessed our family with three additional children. With each birth came tremendous joys for me, but also anxiety about how I would "keep up." The amazing thing I have found is this: The Lord IS faithful! He has provided everything I need to be able fulfill the responsibilities He has called me to. Through these years, He has led me to many helpful resources and ideas that have increased my efficiency in performing home management tasks, and to others that have helped me to be a much better mother. By implementing these tips and tools, I feel that my life has actually become easier than those days when I only had one or two children.
The Lord has blessed my home tremendously with these resources. Through these tools and insights, He has used me to accomplish much more than I ever believed I could. My hope is that by sharing these ideas with you, the Lord will bless your home as well.
